In this regard, their latest project exemplifies how the industry can become a tool for environmental preservation.
In this case, Filtraglass has travelled to Taiwan to collaborate with HONY GLASS, a leading global glass manufacturer. There, the Filtraglass DP.165.F system has been installed to power two horizontal CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. It is worth noting that the installation has allowed us to enjoy a natural landscape of exceptional beauty.
The installation of this system is of great importance for numerous reasons, but the main one is that it ensures optimal water quality for the CNC machine heads. One of the major benefits is the conservation of this natural resource. The system collects water used in manufacturing processes, which contains solid glass particles, and filters it to return it to the supply circuit. Typically, a recycling system like the one mentioned provides up to an 85% reduction in water consumption.

Adapting the system to CNC machine heads, as has been carried out at HONY GLASS, allows for the replacement of tap water with extra-clean water. The process only requires the installation of a pneumatic solenoid valve system, an additional tank, and a pressure group, although the latter is optional. Therefore, the benefits of the system can be leveraged with this complementary installation, in which Filtraglass has extensive experience.
